HAVIS : PASSIVE SOCIAL HOUSE FOR THE PUBLIC SOCIAL WELFARE OF TERNAT
As far as the municipal authorities are concerned, everyone can go to a Social House for social advice and information.
The administration selected the garden of the former rectory in Sint-Katherina-Lombeek for the purpose of bringing this socially important project to life.
The challenge of this project was to translate the contextual, sustainable nature of the site into an accessible building with sustainability, transparency and security in the form of privacy as its operating characteristics.
The Bouwerij realized a compact construction volume that reinforces the sustainable qualities of the site through its location and development. A facade constructed from reflective components and green facade surfaces enters into direct dialogue with its immediate environment: quietly and reflectively.
